The devil's bodyguard - Blurb

Gabe's not the first earthly bodyguard of Satan, but he may just be the last.

For hundreds of years a civil war has been raging in Hell and now that the war has entered its final stage mankind stands on the brink of destruction. If Gabe is to ensure the continued protection of his family he must plunge into the shadowy world of the angels where myth and legend have been corrupted in order to hide the truth from mankind.

However it seems that a great deal has also been hidden from Gabe. His search for Satan's rival uncovers disturbing details about his boss. It seems that Satan has not been entirely truthful about his abilities and for the first time Gabe finds himself questioning everything that Satan tells him. In a world full of shifting loyalties it might finally be time for Gabe to break away from Satan and pursue his own path.

The fate of mankind rests in Gabe's hands, but is he ready to accept the power that comes with it?

If you've found the description above intriguing, then you should download a sample.

If you want some more information then all I can tell you is that it's an action thriller with fantasy elements. It's the kind of book I want to read but can't find in the book stores. I love reading Matthew Reilly, Michael Crichton, James Rollins, and Chris Ryan when I want to get my action fix, but I also love reading Tolkien, Terry Brooks, George R. R. Martin, Patrick Rothfuss, Jay Kristoff, and Neal Asher when I want some fantasy/sci-fi. If you're in the same boat as me (note; I'll probably eat all the food and leave you to starve before we're rescued) then get downloading and let me know what you think.

SHORT STORIES

All the ideas I have for books begin as simple scenes. The Devil's Bodyguard started when I was walking around my house one evening acting like I was 10, even though I was in my mid 20's. I got up from the couch and headed for the kitchen when I thought it would be intriguing if I turned around to discover there was another person in the living room, even though there had been no one there a moment ago. This person spoke to me then, he said, "It's time to go," and it set off a series of questions. Who was this person? How did he get into my house? And where the hell were we going?

The majority of my ideas remain scribbled on cards, locked away in my office, but a few have ventured out and made their way onto the page in the form of short stories. Most will probably end up as the start of something bigger, but until then they are here for you to enjoy.
